Morning Preparations – 6:30 AM
The day starts early at Jackson & Foster when we’re handling residential comfort needs across San Diego County. After checking the day’s schedule and loading up the service van with essential parts and tools, I fuel up with coffee and head to my first appointment in La Mesa.
First Call – 8:00 AM
Today’s first stop involves a routine AC maintenance check. These preventive service calls are crucial for keeping systems running efficiently. I perform a thorough inspection, including:
• Checking refrigerant levels
• Cleaning condenser coils
• Testing electrical connections
• Calibrating thermostats
• Inspecting ductwork
Midday Emergency – 11:30 AM
Between scheduled appointments, we receive an urgent call from Scripps Ranch. A family’s AC system has completely stopped working during a heat wave. This becomes our priority service call, as we understand the importance of rapid response during San Diego’s warmest days.
Afternoon Schedule – 2:00 PM
The afternoon involves an HVAC installation consultation in El Cajon. We discuss system options, energy efficiency ratings, and proper sizing for the home. Education is a big part of our job, ensuring customers make informed decisions about their comfort systems.
End of Day – 5:00 PM
Before heading back to headquarters, I complete the day’s service reports and prepare for tomorrow’s appointments. Working in climate control requires constant adaptation and problem-solving skills, but helping our community stay comfortable makes it all worthwhile.
Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to serve our neighbors across San Diego County, from Lemon Grove to Lakeside. It’s satisfying to know we’re helping maintain comfortable indoor environments for families and businesses throughout our service area.
